the prodigy of
contemporary music»

The Musical Oeuvre
An extensive musical oeuvre – encompassing symphonies, oratoria, multimedia works and festive compositions – «distinguished by originality, inventiveness, uniqueness and the fusion of diverse musical genres».
First Creative Period
Focused on experimental approaches, exploring contemporary techniques and expanded forms of musical expression (until 2010).
Second Creative Period
Marked by large-scale, often commemorative works that combine high artistic quality with wide social impact and strong public presence (2011–present).
The Concept of Polymediality
Elia’s concept that unites diverse media, senses and disciplines – from polyaesthetics and polystilic synthecity to polyfocal recording, polytope and polyscience – merging artistic creation with technology, space and intercultural dialogue.
Exploring sonic landscapes,
inspired by cultural memory,
woven into an innovative, holistic audiovisual work.
CURRENTLY UNDERWAY
Drawing inspiration from an ancient melody of the Kunqu opera «The Peony Pavilion», a form rooted in the Jiangnan region surrounding Shanghai,
the project reimagines this traditional art as a contemporary symphonic dialogue. The city itself transforms into both an instrument and a stage, with its diverse locations intricately woven into an immersive and cohesive audiovisual narrative. With over 250 participants and the support of 29 partners and institutions.

The instrument is an artwork, built from 19th-century Swiss and French barrel wood, once used to age Santorini’s rare Assyrtiko wine. Its design draws on Pliny the Elder, who linked the Gauls to the barrel and inspired the soundbox’s geometric symmetry.

«My music does not serve oblivion. It resists, gives meaning, recalls and reconstitutes. As a living act, it revives. It claims truth and freedom; it transforms nostalgia into a creative act and memory into artistic discourse. It is a work that transfigures the past into the present, asserting a sense of belonging.»

«Ode to Light» is a new work created for the city of Næstved. Staged in a spectacular setting where music, architecture, video installation and light design converge — and with boats carrying lanterns surrounding the performance — the piece will transform the harbour into a luminous stage.
Composed for alto, a 100-voice mixed choir and instrumental ensemble, the work turns the harbour silos into a living canvas, merging sound and light in a celebration of culture and community.
The premiere takes place on October 31, opening with the live concert and followed by the audiovisual experience. From November 1 to 16, audiences can encounter it each evening in two showings.
